Product

Five pillars. One daily habit. A trail coaches and parents can read.

Same language from the first check-in to a college prospect profile. A rough practice doesn't become the whole story.

The habit

2 minutes

Daily check-in

One honest pass through the five pillars. Youth use emoji ratings. Older athletes score 1-10 and add a short wrap-up. One check-in per day. That's the point.

Score, streak, trends

Your AthleteIQ score moves with the habit. Charts cover 7, 30, and 90 days so a single rough practice doesn't become the whole story.

Goals that close

Sport, school, personal, training - write an outcome you can recognize as done. Update it as you go. Check-in still works if you never set a goal.

Who reads the trail

They approve first

Parents, after they approve

Parents see check-in status, trends, and shared notes. They cannot complete the check-in. Nothing shows until the athlete approves the link.

After review

A morning pulse for coaches

Who checked in. Who missed. Team pillar shape. Shoutouts and evaluations that use the same language as the athlete habit.

Opt-in

Character over a camp weekend

Older athletes can opt into recruiting visibility in AthleteIQ. College staff only see people who turned it on - score, pillars, streak, over time.

The five pillars

The same five words, every day.

Youth and college. Parents and coaches. Recruiting if they opt in. Nobody invents a second vocabulary.

  1. 01Discipline

    86%

Showing up, doing the work, staying consistent.

On time. Finishes the plan. Keeps standards when it's boring.

  2. 02Motivation

    74%

    Internal drive and purpose.

Knows why today's work matters without a constant push.

  3. 03Adverse Recovery

    68%

    Bouncing back from setbacks.

Resets after a mistake. Learns fast. Doesn't spiral.

  4. 04Coachability

    81%

    Openness to feedback and growth.

Listens, tries the adjustment, asks a clarifying question.

  5. 05Teammate

    77%

How you show up for other people.

Lifts others. Honest. Reliable when the group needs you.

Sample week - the shape moves with the habit.

How it works

A week you can actually keep.

Two minutes a day. Read the week, not a single practice.

01

Check in today

Two minutes. Five pillars. Rate the day you had, not the day you wished you had.

02

Protect the streak

Same time each day works for most athletes - after practice, before phones take over.

03

Read the week, not the hour

Open Progress. Spot the pillar that dipped. Take one action: a micro-challenge, a lesson, or a conversation.

Who it’s for

The athlete owns the habit. Everyone else reads the trail.

Athletes, parents, team coaches, and college coaches. AthleteIQ is one product - four jobs.

What the habit sounds like.

An athlete, a parent, and a coach - still the same five words.

The check-in is short enough that it actually happens.

We finally have a language for the days that don't show up in the box score. Discipline. Recovery. Teammate.

“I used to ask 'how was practice?' and get a shrug. Now I ask which pillar felt heavy. She still owns the habit. I just stopped guessing.”

“Morning dashboard is missed check-ins and one shoutout before film. Same five words the kids already used on themselves the night before.”

Adam Patrick, Founder and CEO of Pathway Sports Group

“Every athlete has a playing career. AthleteIQ is designed to follow that career from the first practice to the last game - no matter what level it ends on.”

The Story

Hughes, Arkansas. The son of a coach.

I grew up in Hughes, Arkansas, the son of a coach and an educator. My dad didn’t just run practices - he built people. My mom didn’t just teach subjects - she built character. I watched them both do it my entire childhood, and then I played for my dad in high school. That experience shaped everything I believe about sports, character, and what it actually means to develop a young athlete.

Sport runs deep in my family. Sixteen family members played college athletics. Nine of them went on to become coaches - at the high school, college, and professional levels. Athletics was never just something we did - it was who we were and how we understood the world.

“Sport was never just something we did. It was who we were.”

Before any of that, there were the farms. My grandfather in Hughes had a farm I grew up on. My dad is from Mendenhall, Mississippi, and my grandfather down there had one too. From planting soybeans in Arkansas to hauling hay in Mississippi - that is where I learned what work ethic actually means. Not as a concept. As something you do before sunrise whether you feel like it or not. That is the foundation everything else was built on.

“From planting soybeans in Arkansas to hauling hay in Mississippi - that is where work ethic was built.”

I went on to play college basketball at the University of Arkansas-Monticello. Then I spent 21 years running a State Farm Insurance agency in Petal, Mississippi. Good career. Stable. Respectable. But it was never my why.

The whole time, I never left the gym. Coaches kept calling me - not about insurance - but about kids they were recruiting. “What’s his character like? How does he handle adversity? Is he coachable?” That question came up over and over, from coaches at every level, and nobody had a real answer for it. Not a ranking. Not a metric. Not anything verifiable.

“The coaches kept calling - not about insurance - about kids. That question never had a real answer. Until now.”

I built AthleteIQ because that question deserves one.

What AthleteIQ Is

Not a snapshot. A complete record of an athlete’s entire playing career.

From the first practice at age 8 to the last game they ever play - no matter what level that ends on. Youth league. High school. College. Wherever their playing career takes them and wherever it ends, AthleteIQ follows them the whole way.

Their discipline. Their coachability. How they respond when things go wrong. How they show up for their teammates. Every check-in. Every season. Every level. The full picture of who an athlete was becoming - for their entire playing career.

I built it for the coaches who care about more than the scoreboard. For the college recruiter who has watched the film and needs to know what kind of person they are actually signing. For the college athlete navigating NIL, the transfer portal, and the pressure of performing at the highest level. For the parents who want to have better conversations on the car ride home. For the athletes - at every level - who deserve to be seen for who they are, not just what their stats say.

Built For

Five people who deserved a platform like this a long time ago.

  • The Athlete - From First Practice to Last Game

AthleteIQ is designed to follow an athlete’s entire playing career - from age 8 to the last game they ever play, no matter what level that ends on. Youth league, high school, college. The record follows them the whole way. Every season adds to the picture. No other platform does this.

  • The College Athlete Navigating It All

NIL. The transfer portal. Identity beyond the sport. The pressure of being a student athlete at the college level is real and it is not going away. AthleteIQ gives college athletes a daily practice of understanding who they are becoming - not just what they are performing.

  • The Coach Who Cares About More Than the Scoreboard

You have been calling people like me for years asking what kind of kid someone is. Now you have a platform that answers that question with verified, daily data - and gives you the culture language to have the conversations your team needs.

  • The College Recruiter Looking Beyond the Highlights

You have watched the film. You know the stats. What you cannot see on any highlight reel is whether this kid is coachable, how they handle adversity, and what their teammates say about them when the coach is not in the room. AthleteIQ shows you exactly that - verified, multi-source, and searchable.

  • The Parent Who Wants a Better Conversation on the Ride Home

You love your athlete. You want to guide them. But you do not always know what to say after a tough loss or a hard practice. AthleteIQ gives you one specific question every Monday - based on what your athlete actually experienced that week.

I have zero tech background. I built this anyway, because the problem was too important to wait for someone else to solve it. Pathway Sports Group exists because after watching athletes navigate their entire playing careers without the right tools - I finally decided to build them. From the first practice to the last game. No matter what level it ends on.
